Martin Halliday & Dee Ryan
Martin has been working in hospitality for over 20 years, gaining the base of his experience at high class establishments such as the Park Royal, he has previously owned his own catering business and has operated the restaurant at Circa Theatre now for 13 years. Dee works behind the scenes putting systems in place to ensure the smooth running of Wharfside. We invite you to enhance your theatre experience by joining us for a meal on your next visit to Circa Theatre.
Manager
Charlie Kakau
Charlie has been working in the hospitality industry for over 27 years and has a diverse background starting as an apprentice chef in Auckland and then undertaking a catering course with the NZ Army. He left the Army after 11 years adn moved into Restaurant Management, Hospitality Tutoring and Event Management. Charlie was also Catering Manager/Advisor, United Nations in East Timor. He has worked in various different establishments over his many years in the industry and has gained a wealth of knowledge which is invaluable when it comes to creating a memorable and effortless dining experience for out patrons.
Chef
Paul Haitana
Paul has recently joined our team and has many years experience in the industry. He has worked extensively in restaurants overseas as well as in New Zealand, including Head Chef at Rish Restaurant and Executive Chef at Pacinos, Euro and Dragonfly in Australia and more recently Head Chef at Romeos in New Zealand. Paul has now introduced an impressive new menu at Wharfside Restaurant. He prides himself on producing consistently good quality fare with style and originality.
